Premier welcomes new Youth Advisory Council applicants

Applications are invited to join the Premier’s Youth Advisory Council, which provides a great opportunity for young people to advise the Tasmanian Government on issues that are important to them.

“The Council is made up of young people from diverse backgrounds, ages and communities and gives us the chance to meet young people face-to-face and hear their concerns and ideas,” said Premier, Jeremy Rockliff.

Expressions of interest are now open and close at 11:59pm on 11 December 2022, with 13 new members being sought.

“If you are a young person living in Tasmania and aged between 12-24, please make sure you apply, no matter your background.”

New members will be chosen in time for the first meeting of 2023, which will take place in February or March. All applicants will be told the outcome of their application before this time.

The Council builds on the large amount of work already happening across Government to support young people.

“I look forward to seeing the applications and welcoming 13 new members to the Council in early 2023.”
