Police seize stolen property with an approximate value of $160,000

A 36-year-old man from the state’s north-east is facing 11 charges after police located and seized stolen property valued at approximately $160,000 at his rural property.

Officers from Launceston CIB, Uniform section, and Forensic Services attended the property on Tuesday and executed a search warrant.

Among the property recovered were a 1.7 Tonne excavator, a Nissan Navara, a Toyota Hilux, and a Suzuki Motorcycle all stolen from separate incident within the last month.

Six firearms were also located, four of which have been confirmed as stolen.

Police are continuing enquires in relation to other property seized during the search that is believed to be stolen.
