Police arrest two people after being called to a protest on the West Coast

At approximately 10.20am this morning Tasmania Police attended protest activity on the West Coast. 

Four protestors were in attendance. 

Two protestors followed a police direction to move on.

A 23-year-old man from Ballan in Victoria was arrested for Assault. Police will allege the man assaulted a worker at the site. He will be detained to appear before the Court. 

A 31-year-old woman from Lenah Valley was arrested and charged with Fail to comply with direction of a police officer. She was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
