Tasmania Police are reminding motorists to take care on the roads with reports of snowy and icy conditions and heavy rain on its way in some parts of the state.
Motorists are urged to drive to the conditions and stay up to date with the current road closures.
- Slow down
- Drive with caution
- Pop your headlights on
- Make sure there’s safe stopping distance between you and the vehicle in front of you
- Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy
- Delay non essential travel to affected areas
Current road closures in place today are:
Belvoir Road – 4×4 only
Cradle Mountain Rd – open to visitor centre, caution signs in place
Dove Lake Rd – road closed from boom gate to Dove Lake
Lake Dobson Rd – caution (snow around car park)
